Where to start? This first week has been primarily meetings, and to spare you of the boring details, it was basically orientation to the field. This is important for a few reasons:

Safety on border!
Quick post from David Diaso concerning border safety and hope there!
Good News, Mom! Hope Found in Tijuana: It’s a Model City | Our Life On The Border
First couple of days...
Alright, I have been here for a couple of days and I'll give a brief overview of what has been done.
Wednesday night: landed and just went to the Call's house where I am living for the time being
Thursday: Meetings all day with various PCA churches in the SD area. This seemed intimidating at first, however it is really an incredible blessing to be able to get some context on the churches I am working with as well as where they are located and the ministries they are involved with. BEAMM is currently in a time of transition on the border and therefore there is some reevaluation with the churches and how BEAMM will interact with them. For these meetings I was with Gene Bowman, David Diaso, and Ray Call. We also had time in between meetings to look at the beach and get some food (see following pictures)
Friday: Gene and David flew out to their respective homes, I took a trip to Target with Michelle Call and the family, then I headed to an ESL and Spanish Bible study at a community center that Harbor churches use for Spanish Ministry.
Saturday: Today will actually be a little bit more laid back. Because of the holiday weekend some of the church ministries are postponed and consequently I had time to update the blog haha.

Landed!
Just landed in San Diego a few hours ago. I am staying with Call's for the time being and believe I will be making a trip up to Escondido tomorrow for a few meetings. There will be more information then.
As for San Diego, cloudy and 63 when I landed...not too shabby.
